Roystone reserves a pool for one group. The Springs at Idaho City books specific private tubs separately from general soaking. Taiwan’s Linkueiyuan sells a two-person bath-only room. Confirm whether the private booking covers a tub, room or whole pool and for how long.

Clothing rules belong to the area
Jemez requires swimwear in every pool. Ojo and Riverbend have swimwear communal pools and clothing-optional private pools. Spring City’s outdoor baths require swimwear and a cap. These examples are deliberately different; use the specific operator policy for the actual bath.

Minimum ages can differ within one property
Chena’s outdoor lake is 18+ while its indoor facilities have different eligibility. Loipersdorf’s Schaffelbad is 16+ within a larger bathing complex. Fleur de Chine’s nude baths have their own age and accompaniment rules. A child-priced ticket does not override a restricted area.

Ask about tattoos at the named bathhouse
Kinosaki’s official tourism guidance permits tattoos at its public bathhouses, including Goshono-yu. This does not establish a nationwide rule for Japanese hotels or private ryokan baths. Check the selected bath and its weekly closure before travelling.
