Start with the right source
Operators establish their own bath products and booking rules; land managers establish permitted access and closures; official tourism catalogues help establish a venue’s identity. A hotel tag or a name on a map is not proof of walk-in public bathing.
Five checks before a claim
- Identity: reconcile the name, locality, address, telephone or operator link. Similar names are not interchangeable.
- Admission: separate entry category, currency, amount, per-person or room unit, duration, taxes, date restrictions and day use versus accommodation.
- Access: distinguish a full closure, weekly closed day, restricted pool, trail/road problem and private property. Missing information never becomes permission.
- Location: use an identity-matched overview feature when supported. Map viewport centres and unrelated businesses are rejected; an overview pin is not a surveyed entrance.
- Photography: require an identity match and a usable licence or permission basis, retain the original source and credit, and label archive imagery.
Dates describe different things
Guide reviewed is the latest editorial revision of the record; it can retain older evidence when a source cannot be reread. Source dates beside individual links record when that evidence was read. Admission check belongs to the tariff or booking policy beside it. Image date describes an archive photograph when established. A new editorial update does not silently refresh an older price or source, and an old photo does not establish current facilities.
Price words have specific meanings
A published starting price may apply to a particular bath, weekday or voucher. A dynamic quote depends on a booking selection. Included access belongs to a stated package. Conflicting, expired or unpublished amounts remain qualified. Unknown entry is never free entry.
Recommendations and discovery
Full closures, unconfirmed reopening, private-property-only and confirmed overnight-only offers are excluded from day-use recommendations. Package records without confirmed non-resident day use are also excluded. A documented day-spa package can be included when its treatment, reservation and time conditions are shown. Those records remain available for information and saved comparisons with their limitations. Partial pool restrictions and weekly closed days do not turn a whole venue into a permanent closure. City selections are curated; nearby distances are approximate straight lines and do not establish drive times.

Correcting a record
Provide the venue, disputed detail and the primary source that supports a change. The local review tool saves a draft in your browser and offers a downloadable copy; it does not send a message or promise editor review. Prepare a correction draft →
